Overview
Huntly helps outfitters and professional hunters record harvested animals and client instructions for meat processing and taxidermy. The app also provides offline farm maps and booking requests. We designed Huntly to minimize personal data collection and to support anonymous client sessions.
Information We Collect
- Anonymous Session Data: A non-identifying session ID to enable basic app functionality.
- Hunt Records: Animal entries, notes, meat/taxidermy instructions, timestamps, and related operational data.
- Location Data (optional): Device location to show your position on maps and to fetch nearby markers; can be disabled in device settings.
- Offline Storage: Hunt data and map tiles may be stored on the device for offline use and are synced when connectivity is available.
- Diagnostics: Basic app telemetry and crash reports (if enabled) to improve performance and stability.
How We Use Information
- Operate core features (harvest logging, instructions, maps, and bookings).
- Provide offline access and later synchronize records.
- Maintain operational audit trails for outfitters and ranch owners.
- Improve app reliability and safety.
Data Visibility & Retention
- Client Privacy: Clients log in anonymously; personal identities are not required for core features.
- Hunt Expiry: After a hunt expires, client details are hidden from client view. Outfitters may retain operational records as required by business or legal needs.
- Retention: Operational records are retained only as long as necessary for the outfitter’s legitimate business purposes and legal compliance.
Sharing
- We do not sell personal data.
- We may share data with service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics) under confidentiality agreements, solely to provide the services.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect safety, rights, or property.
Your Choices
- Disable location permissions at any time (some features may be limited).
- Request deletion of identifiable booking/contact data if you provided it through support.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to ensure appropriate protections are in place.
Children
Huntly is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction).
Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of Huntly after changes means you accept the updated policy.
